On 13 May 2026, the Association of Doctoral Organisations in Norway (SiN), in collaboration with Eurodoc, proudly joined the celebration of the inaugural European Doctoral Day. This Europe-wide initiative highlights the vital role of doctoral education and PhD researchers in advancing scientific excellence, innovation, and societal progress.
As part of the celebration, SiN organised the webinar “Inclusive Open Science”, bringing together doctoral researchers and members of the academic community across Norway. The session explored how Open Science can foster transparency, accessibility, collaboration, and responsible research practices. Participants also gained practical insights into ethical data sharing, reproducibility, and inclusive research approaches.
The webinar featured Panagiotis Kavouras from the Center for Medical Ethics at the University of Oslo, who shared perspectives on responsible Open Science and the importance of public trust in research.
