Vacant Board Position: Head of Government Relations, SiN 2026

Missed the opportunity to join the SiN board for 2026? There is still a possibility to become part of the board.

On Saturday, 22 November, SiN held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Oslo — the organization’s highest decision-making body. During the AGM, statute amendments were approved, priorities for 2026 were identified, and the new board was elected, including the President, Vice President, Treasurer, Head of Communications, and Head of Events and Inquiries Coordination. A full press release will follow with further details.

However, the position of Head of Government Relations remains vacant. As no candidate expressed interest during the AGM, the board has been granted the authority to appoint a suitable candidate directly.

We invite expressions of interest from individuals who wish to contribute to the representation of early-career researchers at a national level. The role includes representing SiN in Universities Norway (UHR) committees — such as the Research Committee and the Committee for Gender Balance and Diversity in Research (Kif) — and contributing to public consultations and policy documents. A good working command of Norwegian is strongly recommended.

Interested candidates are encouraged to send a short expression of interest to styret@stypendiat.no by 15 December 2025.
