SiN’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Board Elections will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the University of Oslo (UiO) campus in Oslo.

This is SiN’s most important event of the year, where our member organizations exercise their democratic rights and elect a new SiN Board responsible for leading our activities in 2026.
Why Run for the SiN Board?
Are you an early career researcher in Norway — a PhD candidate, postdoctoral fellow, or in another temporary scientific position as of November 22, 2025?
Do you want to make a positive change, advocate for early career researchers at the national level, and gain valuable leadership experience?

While it is possible to announce your candidacy directly at the AGM, we strongly encourage early registration by November 13.
Early registration allows the Election Committee to review your candidacy for a potential (non-binding) recommendation, which will be presented at the AGM.
Positions Open for Election
This year, six board positions are open:
- President – Overall responsibility for SiN’s strategic and operational management.
- Vice-President / Secretary – Supports the President, takes meeting minutes, and maintains communication with member organizations.
- Treasurer – Manages SiN’s budget and financial matters.
- Head of Communications – Ensures SiN’s visibility through social media, the website, and outreach activities.
- Head of Government Relations – Represents SiN in UHR committees, manages consultations, and drafts position statements.
- Head of Events and Inquiries Coordination (new role, pending AGM approval) – Handles incoming inquiries, liaises with partners (e.g. unions), and organizes SiN events.
